I've been using SG's cartridges in a Canon MX870 for over a year, and I print a lot of photos. Their performance in printing seems every bit as good as those from Canon. My only reason for giving four stars instead of five is a subjective impression that they don't last quite as long, and they start triggering the "almost empty" warning very quickly, sometimes after printing only a dozen pages or so. I haven't done any objective measurement, and it's possible, I guess, that this is something Canon had programmed into the driver, to react when a non-Canon cartridge is detected. But it's annoying to get the warning that a cartridge is almost empty, and find the warning light flashing when I open the printer cover, only to find that ink is still visibly sloshing around in the cartridge when I remove it.Still, I don't hesitate to recommend these to others. The performance in use is equal, and the minor annoyance is by far negated by the price difference. I can get four complete sets of these for what it costs to get one set of the Canon product, and those four sets will last several times longer than the one.I've been using SG's cartridges in a Canon MX870 for over a year, and I print a lot of photos. I use my printer almost exclusively for documents so I cannot comment on the ink with respect to photos. I can say that for documents, whether black and white or color, the ink is excellent and the cartridges have never been rejected (unlike some other third party manufactured cartridges that I have tried). And, I have had the necessity of using the OEM cartridges over the two years from time to time. I do not see any difference in quality; only price. So, at least for documents including those with graphics and photos on standard paper, this ink is excellent and it is an outstanding value. The Sophia ink is inexpensive and consistently works in my canon printers. The downside is that it fades in sunlight. For 99% of my printing that is not a problem.Love this ink. The price & quality are both great and now this ink is available with my Subscribe & Save so that's even better! I've used Sophia Global ink in my Canon MX860 for over 8 years now (and will continue - even when I have to buy a new printer). The Sophia product is just as good as the Canon cartridges at much less price. I had one cartridge to leak, probably because I didn't peel off a tab first as directed. I emailed them and they sent me a replacement cartridge immediately. I don't know why anyone would buy the Canon cartridge because of the huge price difference and equal quality.I am only giving this item 2 stars because it did work in a pinch; when I opened the package and removed the orange tab that covers the tip of the cartridge, the cyan ink went everywhere; only after some clean-up was I able to put the thing into my printer. My fingers are gonna be blue for a few days. In the future, I will stick with original cartridges and try my best not to run out.I have bought these ink cartridges four times over the last year and a half for our Canon MP640. They work consistently well and I have never had any issues with any of them. I print various things from the computer (but not photos). You can't beat the price which is much better than taking them to be refilled, which I used to do before I found these.
