Bought in June 2016. Good quality prints. Supplied software totally screwed up Corel's Word Perfect suite. Couldn't reinstall WP. Some kind of error. Interface a bit worse than all-in-one Dell I had previously. Always wants to print on both sides. I still can't find the setting to be saved as default so it will print on one side.Will post more after some heavy use.I love the quality of the print, the ease of replacing toner, drum kits, and waste boxes (which are very expensive and are replaced often), but the service is terrible. Expect to spend 45 minutes on hold when you call the 800 number for repair service and then to be transferred three or four times before reaching someone who can actually help. Expect another couple of days to get someone physically to your office. The repairman walked in and said, "I don't know what they expect me to do," and then left with a promise to call me back later and come back another time with parts. I will think twice before buying another Canon product.Love the machine now...however it arrived damaged. Amazon was amazing to work with and sent a replacement unit out immediately (very impressed) however the second unit also arrived damaged. Not happy with Canon as they wouldn't grant an extended warranty (lost faith in the unit's longevity when two arrived needing service prior to use) on their equipment.Canon themselves came to fix an issue with the machine upon delivery. Amazon and the extended warranty coverage wouldn't even try to address.THANKS CANON !!!!I bought this unit and still after 2 separate trips from cannon support cannot get this unit to work. Not sure I'll ever buy a copier from Amazon again. Plus There is no one I can get a hold of at Amazon to get this taken care of.This product is highly incompatible with Windows computers. Poor customer support and no functionality for scanning capabilities. Connon customer support will tell you they cannot provide solutions becuse for scanning unless you use a MAC os.I have owned this printer for many years and it still works great. BUT the toner cartridges are super expensive and the printer is no longer cost-effective to operate.It arrived defective. The magenta cartridge kept smearing on pages. Service could not fix it. Had to get a new oneDevice is great. Printing quality great. Support people very responsive. Driver and software support could have been better. We had to figure it out ourselves without clear instructions (settings, scanning, connecting to your network). Also we got an outdated DVD, we figured that out along the way so we had to find the latest one online. Usual market price was $1200, we got it through Amazon for $700, which is a great price, but not worth paying more than that.Most frustrating printer of the many I have had. Even with Canon & indepenent IT help, have given up on scanning and getting USB connection to see an added cabinet or tray. Regret buying it.Now November 2017. Frustrations continue. Small but significant annoyance: Less expensive models by Canon give a percentage of toner on each cartridge. This printer, both on the printer screen and the web interface only list "OK" or ??? when it gets low.Conclusion: do not buy .
